HISTORY

THE BEGINNING

In 1958, with more than 20 years of experience in the manufacturing of shirts, Eduardo Romero Morales founded DEVAL S.A. de C.V.   A company dedicated to the manufacture of Men´s dress shirts.

The company began by manufacturing shirts to Aurrerá self-service stores, which coincidentally began operations that same year too.

In addition to manufacturing shirts for this brand, it also manufactured shirt´s under the  DONER and TRUVAL brand, which were sold in the top-end Departmental stores and Men´s stores around the country.

The company RYA S.A. de C.V. was founded in 1965 in order to market the products manufactured by DEVAL S.A. de C.V.  It was in 1973, that the company acquired the Brand License of Pierre Cardin. A brand that has been manufactured and distributed in Mexico by the group for over 45 years.
The company ERYF S.A. de C.V. was founded in a second facility by 1974, at San Juan del Rio, Queretaro. In the beginning, this factory started a new production line for the manufacture of boxer shorts. After some years time, a line to manufacture pajamas and shirts also took place.
In 1982, a third facility under the name CONFECCIONES DELMEX S.A. de C.V. was founded to manufacture our line of Sport and Casual Shirts. The facility was based in Ciudad Nezahualcóyotl, in the State of Mexico.

Private Brands, 2005

In order to face the changes and take the opportunities in our country due to the globalization and technological development of the world by 1997; the group decided to change its strategy and invest in state-of-the-art machinery:

- We invested in an Automated GERBER Cutting and Laying Fabric machinery and software...
- We updated ALL our sewing machines to their latest electronic version...
- We acquired the  latest Fabric Fusion machinery and Ironing equipment available in the market with our German Suppliers.

With all the previous upgrades and efficiencies, the Group decided to concentrate all the production lines in the ERYF S.A. de C.V. facility based in San Juan del Rio, Queretaro.

In 1998, RYA added a new brand to its portfolio of products: MIRTO, manufactured in Spain and distributed among the most prestigious stores around the country.
Besides all the brands that the Group manufactures and commercializes. Lately, RYA is also manufacturing "COMPLETE PACKAGE" manufacturing services to many of its customers, such as CONTEMPO & WEEKEND (for Suburbia), LMENTAL, LAMBERTI, ROBERTS, HIGHLIFE (for Grupo Habers), PERTEGAZ, EPSILON and CHESTER & PECK (for Palacio de Hierro), and lastly also for C&A and NAUTICA.
